I-LOFAR Consortium Meeting

The I-LOFAR Consortium meeting in the Dining Room of Birr Castle under the portrait of the 3rd Earl. Representatives in attendance from DIAS, UCD, ICHEC, TCD, UCC, NUIG, Armagh, Birr Castle, and the Latvian LOFAR team.

I-LOFAR Consortium members with Enterprise Ireland, Industrial Development Authority (IDA), Offaly County Council, and the Birr Chamber of Commerce standing on the I-LOFAR "terp".

The Irish LOFAR Consortium met in Birr, Co. Offaly on January 6, 2017 to review ground-works to date and discuss plans for the I-LOFAR station roll-out in May-July 2017. 

The agenda was as follows:

    11:00-11:30 Coffee in Science Visitor Centre

    11:30-13:00 Walking tour/review of ground works [JMcC & PG]

    13:00-14:00 Lunch in Castle

    14:00-15:00 Scheduling and staffing for station roll-out [JMcC] 

    15:00-15:30 ILT Membership and Education Centre plans [PG]

    15:30-15:45 Coffee

    15:45-16:45 Future research and funding plans including computing resources [All]
